Visitors have reported hearing the music box creak to a start and play a tune, which would be odd enough on its own. But the gears are frozen in place, and the music box hasn’t worked in many years. Not long after his mother’s death, Nadine’s son, Nelson, reported hearing strange sounds on the second floor and could never locate the source. Local people say that they hear music and see bobbing lights on the front lawn of Ravenswood, a shadow left, perhaps, by Nadine’s parties and dances. Perhaps Nadine is not the only Leonard who still visits Ravenswood to make certain all is well. Nelson died in an auto accident on the property, crushed to death while opening the front gate when his car jumped out of gear. Some family members believe it might be Nelson who is the source of tapping and walking sounds sometimes heard downstairs in the house.

The current generation is working to restore the house, and they enjoy offering tours to visitors throughout the summer and autumn. It seems that no matter how many Leonards visit Ravenswood from the other world, they know they will find the seventh generation of the family still at home.
